FluidDrive, founded over 60 years ago in Melbourne, has grown into the automotive industry's leading and most recognized transmission remanufacturer. Today, the company remanufactures over 300 automatic transmission variants, supporting vehicles from the 1990s onward. FluidDrive’s well-established brand, commitment to quality, and customer-centric approach has forged strong partnerships with OEMs such as General Motors Holden, Mazda Australia, LDV, and Hyundai.

These partnerships were established to deliver comprehensive support services, including transmission remanufacturing for in-warranty transmissions, root cause analysis, distribution, and logistics, all designed to provide cost-effective solutions.

As FluidDrive’s relationships with OEMs expanded, retail transmission programs were introduced in collaboration with these manufacturers. These programs were designed to support dealerships in customer retention by offering high-quality, cost-competitive transmission replacements—both for vehicles beyond their warranty period and for in-warranty remanufactured transmissions.
